The research aspect of the LGT and Science initiative is focused on Behavioral Finance and Quantitative Finance.

The aim is to bridge the gap between theoretical research and its practical applications. The collaborations should be fruitful for both parties concerned:

Sponsorship of Scientists

We are currently defining specific research assignments with universities in Europe and the US. Of particular interest are media and asset pricing, cultural differences in finance and the applications of laws of physics to the financial markets.

LGT Employee Sabbatical

An opportunity for a LGT employees to pursue relevant academic research of their choosing. LGT employees will have the option of a sabbatical in a scientific group

  • of relevance to their work
  • which will allow the employees to benefit from the contacts and resources of academic institutions

LGT Student Prize

The LGT Student Prize, planned for summer 2009, recognises the achievements of students in finance, economics and mathematics. It aims to increase the awareness of high potential students for the financial industry and the LGT group in particular.
