LGT Capital Partners offers investors a broad array of fund-of-hedge-fund investments. These funds-of-hedge-funds include a real variety of individual hedge funds. As with other investment funds, we combine funds-of-hedge-funds with a view to achieving an attractive return with a broad diversification of risk.

The general term "hedge funds" refers to special, privately managed investment companies. They are characterised chiefly by flexible investment strategies and as much freedom as possible for managers in their investment decisions. Unlike private equity funds, which take a direct stake in companies, hedge funds aim to achieve positive returns irrespective of the market situation, for example, even if the stock market index is falling.
