LGT Academy II: Visionary leadership for executives

The LGT Academy II, which was launched in 2005, represents a seamless refinement of the original Academy philosophy, and offers an insight into new, previously unexplored subject areas. To enable them to develop visionary, integrated leadership skills, in this one-week course experienced executives gain a new holistic understanding of the complex natural and social world of which we are part.

Complex interrelationships

Outstanding experts address and explain interdisciplinary issues such as: How does our brain learn? Why is our brain not just a cognitive, but also a social and emotional organ? Why does nature foster self-organization, cooperation and networking? Or: How does good feedback work? How can mutual trust be established in communication? How can we work together to formulate new solutions?

Understanding and implementing

The spectrum of Academy subjects ranges from brain research to behavioral economics, from systematic psychology and dialogical communication to the development of future scenarios – coupled with rowing, tai chi, relaxation training, as well as cooking and working in a team. A program that enables executives to learn that understanding and dealing with complexity are in effect a second universal language – alongside English. An extremely practical and versatile language that can be employed in everyday business and private life.

From chaos theory through systematic communication to playing music with world-class musicians, the Academy gen-erates  new, interlinked experiences and cross-border leadership perspectives. These provide guidance, expand options and foster responsible leadership qualities in times of uncertainty.
