LGT Group appoints new Foundation Board Member

LGT Group Foundation has appointed Karen Fawcett as a new member of its Foundation Board. The British national assumes her role with immediate effect.

Karen Fawcett assumes her new role as a member of the LGT Group Foundation Board, to which she will bring long-standing experience in the banking sector. Fawcett, a British national, began her career in 1985 as a consultant in London and Singapore. From 1998 until 2001, she was a Partner responsible for Financial Services in Asia-Pacific at the leading US strategy and technology consulting firm Booz, Allen & Hamilton. She then moved to Standard Chartered Bank, where she ran major areas of the global bank and as CEO, was responsible for retail banking in addition to branding and marketing until 2017. She also led a sustainable fish farming venture in Asia. Karen Fawcett holds a Master of Economics from Cambridge University and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD Business School, one of the world's most renowned business schools with campuses in Europe and Asia. She is also a director on the Board of INSEAD Business School and a director at BetterTradeOff, a fintech company based in Singapore and Dubai.

Karen Fawcett will assume the seat on the Board previously held by Phillip Colebatch, who stepped down from the LGT Foundation Board upon his retirement.

The LGT Foundation Board now consists of the following members: H.S.H. Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein (Chairman), Dr. Rodolfo Bogni, Juan Bosch, K.B. Chandrasekar, Mark Jordy, Prof. Dr. Conrad Meyer and Karen Fawcett.
