Beide Seiten versuchen aber, die Türe für Verhandlungen offen zu halten, was an der Wall Street für Hoffnung sorgte und die Kurse in den grünen Bereich hievte. In Asien folgten die meisten Börsen den positiven Vorgaben der USA.
Asian stocks started the new trading week on a friendly tone after stronger than expected US labor market data was well received at the end of last week. The globally sound economic outlook is currently providing a tailwind on the stock markets.
The US initiated trade war is causing great uncertainty on financial markets and is likely to cloud investor sentiment in the long term. In addition, the Fed rate hike is having an effect and there are fears that interest rates will rise faster than anticipated. Furthermore, some leading indicators signal an economic slowdown. The purchasing managers' index for the euro-area private sector, as well as the German Ifo business climate index fell for the second time.
