LGT is one of the few international privately owned banks to allow its creditworthiness to be evaluated by independent rating agencies. For years now LGT has consistently been awarded very high ratings. LGT’s leading position has also been confirmed by awards from reputable external bodies.

Based on the excellent ratings by Moody's and Standard & Poor's the magazine Global Finance named LGT in 2017 as one of the 50 safest banks worldwide, LGT being one of four banks from Switzerland and Liechtenstein on the list.

Tops 2022 - The best asset managers

  • The renowned Fuchsbriefe designated LGT as number six of the best wealth managers in the German-speaking countries. It also receives the highest number of points and the rating “very good” and is as well best bank in Liechtenstein.
  • LGT ranks second on the perpetual list of top asset managers in German-speaking countries.

Special Report: The Elite Among Wealth Managers 2022

  • For the sixth consecutive year, LGT received the highest score of all participating asset managers in the Elite Report. LGT was also awarded the “summa cum laude” rating for the 19th consecutive time and was selected as the leading private bank in Liechtenstein.

LGT Private Banking received three awards at WealthBriefing's "Wealth for Good Awards", which took place for the first time in 2022. Worldwide as the best bank for "Philanthropy Offering", in the Asia-Pacific region as the best bank for "Sustainability & ESG Thought Leadership" and in Switzerland and Liechtenstein as the best bank for "Impact Offering". 

For the fourth time and as the first bank ever, PWM (Professional Wealth Management) of the Financial Times Group and "The Banker" awarded LGT the title "Best Private Bank for Alternatives" in 2021.

 

At the World’s Best Private Bank Awards 2022 of Global Finance Magazine, LGT was named ”Best Private Bank for Sustainable Investing” in Western Europe as well as Best Private Bank in Liechtenstein.

In 2019, LGT was recognized as "Best Private Bank for Family Governance Greater China" at the WealthBriefingAsia Greater China Awards. In the year prior to this, LGT had been named "Best Boutique Private Bank Greater China" and "Best Pure Play Private Bank Southeast Asia" at the WealthBriefingAsia Awards.

The awards honor stable and independent private banks which provide diverse and innovative wealth management services.

At the Sustainable Finance Awards 2022 of Global Finance magazine, LGT built on last year's successes and was awarded the title of "Outstanding Leadership in Sustainability Transparency" in Western Europe.

At the MENA WealthBriefing Awards 2021, LGT built on its previous successes. LGT Middle East received the awards for Best ESG Offering, Best Family Governance Advice and Best Pure Play Private Bank.
