About us

LGT Private Banking is a leading international private bank and independent family-owned business. Our thinking is long-term, and we strive to innovate. In recent years, we have grown strongly - in Europe and in Asia. To ensure we remain successful, one factor is crucial: digitalization. It is a key strategic priority in the coming years. We want to combine the best of the analog and digital worlds, in interdisciplinary and agile teams. Our goal: to create a truly personal customer experience thanks to state-of-the-art services.

Your challenge

User Experience | Design System | Product Design | Technology | Complexity

Are you passionate about building and maintaining an enterprise-wide design system to support your colleagues in their daily design work and to create a seamless user experience for our various products? Do you love to solve complex user centered design problems? Are you looking for teammates who appreciate open communication and face obstacles together?

At LGT, we are redesigning our Design System landscape. And for that, we need a Product Experience Designer who can both think on a strategical level and work across different teams to create consensus and provide deliverables. That means you have the opportunity to impact all products developed at the company by being a Design System key contributor.

We are building a true design + build system based on Atomic Design, fully aligned for designers and developers. In this role you work as part of the User Experience Team where you design our foundational patterns and UI components and thereby shaping the overall look of our products and services by creating a consistent, flexible, and cohesive system. By standardizing tooling, processes, and documentation you empower our strategic design vision and help us with growing and scaling an organization-wide, world-class platform.

You join a fast-growing global team of designers sitting across our business units in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, England, Spain, Singapore and Hongkong.

Your Role

  • Envision our design system landscape and take ownership for the design system practice at LGT
  • Provide clear and usable guidance to designers/frontend devs and support the creation of new components- primarily in Figma, Storybook and documentation platform
  • Help to improve our processes related to our design system
  • Maintain our design system by creating and updating documentation and pattern library components to ensure consistency, scalability and best practices for product design
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developments to build up and continuously align with web componentlibrary
  • Establish and exemplify high quality standards by reviewing designs
  • Love what you do and promote our design system throughout the organization

Your profile

Basic Qualifications

  • You are an experienced product designer who already built up holistic UX patterns for a corporate/enterprise Design System
  • You got plenty of experience successfully collaborating with and supporting multidisciplinary teams of product managers, engineers, designers, and other business stakeholders. Most preferably at a softwareproductcompany
  • You are entirely comfortable working on business+technical+human tasks from start to end — e.g. planning of delivery roadmap, presenting to management, doing UX research, collecting and translating insights and data into components that form new products & features, designing detailed solutions to make things real, and continuously learning from and iterating upon what you ship
  • You have proficiency with Figma or proficiency in Sketch, Adobe CC and/or associated design tools, along with the ability to quickly learn and excel in Figma. We use Figma as our primary design tool, along with its enterprise design system library tools
  • You demonstrate end-to-end design skills including very strong graphic/UI/visual design skills. Thus, you understand that good design is about moving people instead of moving pixels
  • You have the ability to make design principles and decisions understandable to non-designers within a practical culture
  • You are comfortable working independently and conscientiously in a fast-paced environment with dispersed, virtual teams across multiple time zones
  • You are fluent in English so you can communicate easily with all your colleagues with flexibility and open-mindedness

DesirableQualifications

  • Experience in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, UI Design, UX Research and/or HTML/CSS/JS/Angular is desired
  • Experience with design system documentation tools like Zerohight
  • Results-driven self-starter with a unique combination of technical knowledge, business acumen and strong general and emotional intelligence
  • Deep knowledge of UX industry standards, usability, accessibility, trends in web and app design

Please note that we cannot consider applications through recruitment agencies for this position.
