From March 18 to 26, the curling world looked to Sweden. The World Women's Curling Championships 2023 took place in Sandviken and once again LGT supported the event. The final last Sunday offered a concentrated load of thrills, impressive precision and excellent teamwork. The Swiss team with Silvana Tirinzoni, Alina Pätz, Carole Howald and Briar Schwaller-Hürlimann showed more nerves in the match against the Norwegian quartet than in the course of the tournament so far, but finally managed to win 6:3 and thus secure the fourth world championship title in a row. What is particularly remarkable is that the Swiss women have now gone undefeated at world championships for 35 games - something that has never happened before in the history of curling.

As title sponsor of the event, LGT congratulates the world champions on their victory. We have been associated with curling for more than a decade and are delighted to be able to strengthen international awareness of this exceptional sport with our commitment. Incidentally, in 2024 Switzerland will be hosting the world's curling elite. From March 30 to April 7, 2024, the men's world championship will be held in Schaffhausen.
