Euromoney’s Global Private Banking Awards 2023 were held yesterday in London. Due to a new format introduced for the vetting process, the well-known industry magazine invited the world’s leading private banks and asset managers to provide information about their achievements and performance in the areas of customer service, product development and innovation in detailed submissions. LGT performed extremely well, winning awards in five different categories.

Recognition for LGT’s holistic offering

LGT’s holistic and tailored offering for ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices as well as in the ESG investing segment set it apart from the other competitors across Europe. It was designated best private bank in Europe in all three of these categories. LGT also received the award for best private bank in the Middle East for ultra-high-net-worth clients and best private bank in Austria for ESG investing. "There is a fine balance between a very strong tradition and the desire to reinvent itself: it would seem that LGT has managed to navigate between these two key aspects of its identity", the judges say.

Critical issues of global importance

"We are enormously pleased that LGT received not just one, but several first-place rankings in various categories," says Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking. "ESG and net zero are very important topics for us. Climate change is one of the big-gest global challenges of our time and it is important that we do our part in helping to overcome it. We also want to help our clients make their investment portfolios sustainable, and are continuously expanding our range of products and services in this area. The UHNWI and Family Office Services awards are testimony to the fact that our holistic wealth solutions are tailored to the needs and often complex financial situations of ultra-high-net-worth clients and families."

Euromoney magazine has been recognizing the world’s best financial services providers for more than 20 years, and for 2023 introduced a new submission format. Over 220 private banks and asset managers participated. The submissions were reviewed and evaluated in a multi-stage process by an external jury of private banking experts.
