Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, constraints, and strategic objectives, ensuring solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and aligned with long‑term goals.
Develop high‑level and detailed solution designs, including architecture diagrams, integration patterns, data flows, and security considerations.
Evaluate technologies and platforms, recommending options that balance cost, scalability, performance, and alignment with Group Technology standards.
Embed “security by design” principles into all architecture and design activities.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, and Group Technology teams to validate and refine solution designs.
Support functional and non‑functional testing to ensure solution integrity and performance.
Produce high‑quality documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑sharing materials for operational teams.
Contribute to the technology strategy, design standards, and continuous improvement of engineering and delivery practices.

Experience designing and architecting business‑critical systems in complex environments.
Strong ability to collaborate, elicit requirements, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
Broad knowledge of IT technologies, cloud platforms, integration patterns, and security principles.
Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear architecture and design documentation.
Proven experience working alongside engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
Track record of improving design, development, or delivery processes.
Ability to align technology decisions with business strategy and long‑term objectives.
Analytical, structured problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in solution design, architecture, or technical consulting roles.
Certifications in cloud, architecture, or design frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure, TOGAF) are advantageous.
