About us

LGT is the world’s largest family-owned and managed Private Banking and Asset Management Group. For more than 100 years it has been fully owned and managed by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, which is also one of our biggest clients.
With around 800 employees, LGT Bank Switzerland has established itself as a renowned Swiss private bank and is an excellent address for both wealthy private clients and employees - this was also confirmed last year by the independent institute "Great Place To Work", which awarded LGT Bank Switzerland the title of one of the best employers in Switzerland.

Your challenge

Help shape the continued development of our multi-asset strategies. For our Portfolio Management team, we are looking for an engaged and analytically strong professional to join us as a Portfolio Manager – Multi-Asset Strategies (f/m/d), based in Zurich or Vaduz. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio construction, ongoing monitoring and risk management within defined investment guidelines.
  • Applying quantitative methodologies to portfolio analysis and construction, including optimisation, risk modelling, scenario analysis and performance attribution, in close collaboration with the Global Investment Solutions Quant team.
  • Translating strategic and tactical investment views into portfolio positions and assessing their expected risk, return profile, diversification and implementation implications across asset classes.
  • Preparing high-quality portfolio, performance and risk analyses, as well as decision materials for Portfolio Management and Investment Committee discussions.
  • Supporting the evaluation and implementation of investment instruments and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient portfolio execution.
  • Improving analytical tools, reporting and portfolio-management processes, including through Python-based automation and development; clearly documenting methodologies and communicating results to both quantitative and non-quantitative stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Education: University degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably Finance, Economics or a related field. A postgraduate degree or progress towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CIIA, CAIA or FRM) is an advantage.
  • Experience: At least two years of relevant experience in portfolio management, multi-asset investing, quantitative investment analysis, risk management or a comparable investment role.
  • Investment and quantitative expertise: Good understanding of capital markets, major asset classes, portfolio construction and risk management, together with a strong foundation in quantitative methods. Familiarity with portfolio optimisation, risk models, scenario analysis and performance attribution is expected; fixed-income knowledge is an advantage.
  • Technology: Hands-on Python skills for investment analysis, data processing or automation are required. Experience with portfolio and risk analytics platforms, particularly Bloomberg PORT Enterprise and Bloomberg Optimizer, is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, intellectual curiosity and sound judgement. You work -accurately and reliably, take ownership of your responsibilities and know when to seek input. You enjoy collaborating across teams, communicate complex findings clearly and drive improvements through to implementation.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English is essential; other languages are an advantage.
