Market view and Insights
With the Paris Climate Agreement, 196 countries have committed themselves to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees compared to pre-industrial levels. We support this goal and, for example, have not invested in companies that mine coal and produce electricity from coal since 2020. By 2030, we will reduce net emissions in our operations and in our own investments and will encourage our clients to manage their assets more sustainably.
As a responsible private bank, we want to do our part for a healthy society. That is why we provide financial and non-material support to numerous local and regional aid organizations and institutions.
We also offer our employees the opportunity to volunteer for social causes. Our volunteering strategy includes helping less privileged people or the environment, as well as skills-based volunteering, where our employees share their experience and expertise.
The LGT Venture Philanthropy Foundation, which was established in 2007 on the initiative of the Princely House, aims to improve the quality of life of people in sub-Saharan Africa and India.
For LGT as an employer, promoting an attractive and inclusive working environment is a top priority. Long-term success based on responsible action is only possible with motivated and satisfied employees. We foster a corporate culture in which everyone feels respected and motivated and has the opportunity to develop.
An important success factor is also the ongoing professional development of our employees. Our diverse internal training measures and external courses cover both personal and professional development.
In our business activities, we are guided by clear values and follow strict ethical and professional standards, which are set out in the LGT Code of Conduct.
