LGT is the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group in the world to be owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we have years of experience in the management of sizeable sums of assets.
As a US Tax and Reporting Specialist (f/m/d), you are responsible for ensuring the correct and timely fulfilment of all tax reporting obligations in connection with commitments arising from the Qualified Intermediary Agreement. You support the team and the QI Responsible Officer in complying with complex US tax regulations and make a significant contribution to the quality of our services. Your tasks include:
Review US tax forms (e.g. W‑8BEN, W‑9, 1042‑S) and other relevant documentation
Ensure compliance with FATCA and QI requirements, primarily related to reporting and monitoring
Analyse complex US tax issues and advise internal departments on related questions
Collaborate closely with external advisers and auditors to clarify specific tax matters
Monitor and implement changes in US tax law and assess their impact on LGT PB Group processes
Support the automation and optimisation of regulatory reporting processes (e.g. Modelo 196, QI, CPC)
Handle client enquiries on US tax topics and maintain internal databases and systems
Use AI tools to continuously improve and streamline existing processes
Degree in Business Administration, Law or comparable education with a focus on taxation or regulation
Several years of professional experience in US tax law and reporting, ideally in the financial services sector
In-depth knowledge of US tax legislation, especially QI/FATCA and relevant IRS forms
Experience with tax reporting software in the US context; Avaloq knowledge is an advantage
Excellent spoken and written German and English required
Strong analytical skills, high affinity for figures and precise working style
Independent, structured and proactive way of working combined with strong team and communication skills
High sense of responsibility, discretion and openness to implementing complex requirements
