Forward Deployed Engineer (f/m/d), 80–100% Zurich

LGT is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its growing AI team in Zurich. In this role, you will help turn AI potential into measurable business value by working closely with business departments and internal stakeholders across Private Banking and Corporate Functions. You will identify high-impact opportunities, translate business needs into practical AI solutions and support their successful deployment in complex enterprise environments.

Your responsibilities:

• Partner closely with business units and support functions to understand workflows, pain points and opportunities where AI can create measurable value.
• Lead AI use cases end to end, from discovery and scoping through prototyping, implementation, rollout and continuous improvement.
• Design, build and adapt AI agents and AI-enabled workflows to fit real business processes, enterprise constraints and the requirements of a regulated banking environment.
• Take ownership of deployed AI solutions by monitoring usage, performance and business impact, and by driving ongoing optimisation together with stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business teams to identify, prioritise and shape high-impact AI use cases and practical implementation paths.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology by translating business requirements into technical solutions and explaining technical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
• Capture learnings from deployments and translate them into reusable patterns, improvements and scalable approaches across the organisation.

• University degree in computer science, engineering, data science, business informatics, innovation management or a related field.

• Experience at the intersection of business and technology, including the delivery of practical technology solutions in complex enterprise environments.

• Strong understanding of business processes and stakeholder needs, with the credibility and communication skills to work effectively with internal clients and cross-functional teams.

• Strong hands-on understanding of modern AI systems and agentic workflows, including LLM integration, retrieval, tool use, context orchestration, caluations, guardrails, observability and human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and to bring structure and clarity to complex environments.

• Good understanding of the requirements of a regulated environment, ideally combined with experience in financial services.

• Strong communication skills in English, German and additional languages relevant to LGT locations are an advantage.

• Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and a pragmatic, responsible approach, with the ability to simplify ambiguity and develop workable solutions.
