LGT career
LGT is the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group in the world to be owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we have years of experience in the management of sizeable sums of assets.
Are you interested in computers, technology, and everything that happens behind the scenes to keep systems running smoothly? Do you want more than just to watch — do you want to think along, experiment, and understand how IT really works in practice? Then LGT is the right place for you.
With us, you won’t just gain insight into the world of IT — you will become part of it. You will work with modern technologies, take on responsibility, and continue to grow in an exciting international environment.
Understand more. Explore more. Make more of your potential.
Your apprenticeship with us begins with LGT’s internal foundation year in Bendern. After that, you will gain experience in six core departments and can choose from many additional specialist areas. For you, this means a wide range of insights, lots of variety, and the opportunity to actively shape your four-year apprenticeship.
Step by step, you will discover what suits you best, what fascinates you, and in which area you would like to deepen your knowledge. In your fourth year, you will choose your preferred specialisation and develop your expertise even further.
For us, IT is about more than technology and theory. It is about thinking ahead, solving problems, developing systems, working as part of a team, and learning something new every day.
At LGT, you are not simply “the IT apprentice.” You are part of the team. From day one, you will be supported by people who take you seriously, encourage you, and trust you with real responsibility.
Experienced practical trainers will support you in your day-to-day work, give you guidance, and help you grow both professionally and personally.
Look forward to an apprenticeship that offers far more than a traditional entry into the world of IT. You can expect varied tasks, exciting assignments in different departments within LGT IT, and a strong network of more than 40 apprentices and interns.
In addition, there are apprentice meetings, training camps, joint learning sessions with other IT apprentices, and many opportunities to continue developing — during your apprenticeship and beyond.
You are curious, motivated, and eager to truly understand technology. You are interested in computers and digital systems, enjoy logical thinking, and tackle problems proactively.
If you also have good grades at Realschule in Liechtenstein or Sekundarschule in Switzerland — especially in mathematics-related subjects — and enjoy learning new things and helping to shape the future, you should definitely apply.

A great place to work – a great place to have impact: LGT promotes diversity among its employees. We believe that an inclusive and appreciative corporate culture is the driver for a great workplace and provides the opportunity to create a unique and successful team. That's why our employees can also benefit from many additional benefits.
Transparency is important to us. That is why you will find everything that matters to us on our website – plus everything you should know about us before you meet us in person, open an account or apply for a job. That includes, for example, the history of the Princely Family, which is closely intertwined with our own.
