Business Unit:

The Marketing Team is responsible for developing the Firm’s brand awareness and supporting the firm’s client retention and client acquisition. They are responsible for setting, implementing and managing the marketing plan, in line with the business objectives.

The Team has ownership of all marketing activities for the firm covering the full marketing mix of PR, advertising, events, sponsorship, website, social media, literature and digital.

The Marketing Team is the guardian of the brand, ensuring it is correctly represented and the brand ethos is understood and maintained.

Brief Role Objective:

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, proactive and highly organised Marketing Manager to take responsibility for the implementation of the marketing plan, alongside the Marketing Team. In particular this role will co-lead on delivering the Firm’s internal communications strategy, leading on the sustainability and US driven marketing activities and working across a range of client communications and events. This role is a generalist marketing role, covering all aspects of the marketing mix.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications
    • Work closely with the CEO Office to support and drive the firm’s internal communications strategy, including copywriting, effective use, management and implementation of internal communication channels, and senior stakeholder management.
    • Support the development, creation, and refinement of ad hoc client communications.

  • Lead on sustainability driven marketing activities.
    • This will include delivering across the full marketing mix of events, digital, communications and social.
    • Lead the creation of the Sustainable 360 report, including copy writing, design and associated campaign.

  • Take ownership for delivering the marketing plan for LGT Wealth Management US, including building a strong working relationship with the business.
    • This will include delivering across the full marketing mix of events, digital, communications, partnerships and social.

  • Events
    • Work with the Events Manager on the delivery of the Firm’s flagship event programme, where required.

  • Projects and campaigns
    • Take responsibility for ad hoc projects and campaigns depending on critical business needs.
       
  • Act as line manager to two Marketing professionals.
    • Support, manage and develop both individuals, providing guidance and mentorship to foster their professional growth and ensure alignment with the team’s goals and strategies.

  • Branding

  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring that brand and communications guidelines are maintained across marketing and event-related assets.
  • Work with external design agency on creation of new marketing material.

Key Skills and Technical Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a generalist Marketing Manager, including communications experience, event experience, project management experience and copywriting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Internal communications experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, developing or supervising team members.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Solution-oriented attitude.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to take the lead when required.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing demands.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
