About us

LGT is the world’s largest family-owned and managed Private Banking and Asset Management Group. For more than 100 years it has been fully owned and managed by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, which is also one of our biggest clients.
With around 800 employees, LGT Bank Switzerland has established itself as a renowned Swiss private bank and is an excellent address for both wealthy private clients and employees - this was also confirmed last year by the independent institute "Great Place To Work", which awarded LGT Bank Switzerland the title of one of the best employers in Switzerland.

Your challenge

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for Portfolio Management across Europe. You will lead an experienced team, provide strong support to the front office through high-quality investment expertise, embed quantitative capabilities into the investment process, and drive the continued enhancement of the operating model, processes, and infrastructure.

  • Manage and further develop an experienced team of portfolio managers across multiple European locations.
  • Oversee portfolio construction, monitoring, rebalancing, and overall investment performance in line with client needs, risk profiles, mandates, defined risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the front office, Research, and other relevant stakeholders to deliver compelling and effective investment solutions.
  • Drive the continued enhancement of the portfolio management operating model, processes, and infrastructure with a focus on efficiency, scalability, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Further develop quantitative capabilities and enhance the use of LGT’s proprietary tools, models, and analytics in the investment process to strengthen portfolio construction and investment decision-making.
  • Represent LGT in internal committees and in selected client engagements through clear and credible communication of investment views, portfolio performance, and market insights.
  • Drive the continued development of the product offering in close collaboration with the front office, Research, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a competitive, client-centric, and strategically aligned investment solution suite.

Your profile

  • Extensive experience in portfolio management within wealth management, private banking, or asset management, including several years in a senior leadership role leading experienced teams across locations.
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, a quantitative discipline, or a related field; fluency in German and English; CFA or another advanced professional qualification is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative understanding of portfolio analytics, models, and data-driven investment processes, with the ability to translate these effectively into front-office practice.
  • Broad multi-asset expertise and a strong understanding of European markets, macroeconomic developments, and the relevant regulatory environment.
  • Experience in enhancing processes, operating models, and infrastructure with a clear focus on sustainable operational improvement.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in working with front office, investment specialists, control functions, senior management, and clients.
  • Strong people management capabilities, with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing investment talent, combined with unquestionable integrity, sound judgment, and a disciplined approach to decision-making.
