Product Owner Sydney (AU)

Your Responsibilities

• Leverage and expand your deep technical product knowledge and domain expertise​ to form a compelling product roadmap and effective solutions
• Act as the central focal point for all new ideas and initiatives relating to the user and client experience​ and efficiency
• Ensure Ideas and Lean Canvases are appropriately completed as required, with focus on delivery of customer value ​
• Define the Vision and create the Product Roadmap for the delivery team (focussing on solution and technology), incorporating inputs from key stakeholders (stakeholder group) and leveraging the strategy of the Executive Committee 
• Work with business analyst, software developers and quality analysts to build effective and efficient solutions and deliver on strategic initiatives as required
• Ensure that backlogs are groomed and developed to support the delivery of quality outcomes
• Ensure the Delivery team understand your Product Roadmap and are invested in your Vision​
• Ensure the right customer problem is solved, leveraging market research where appropriate ​
• Gather, manage and prioritise the Product Backlog, ensure user stories are “ready” to start work on and have the correct Acceptance Criteria​
• Track progress of product feature releases and ensure key stakeholders are informed (eg. Kanban boards and regular huddles)​
• Track and socialise benefit realisation ​
• Prioritise defect resolution in tandem with enhancement initiatives 

Your skills and experience

• Expertise in Wealth client solution domains (portfolio reporting, relationship management, secure portals, digital onboarding, client insights, etc.), financial services products and regulatory frameworks.
• Sound knowledge of suitable technology offerings available in market, the purposes they can serve and the effective ways they can be implemented.
• A successful track record of focussing on what is most important to deliver to your customers next.
• Ability to balance technical constraints with a differentiated product
• Ability to solve complex problems and design effective, appropriate solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Your qualifications

• Formal Product Owner certification (eg. CSPO, PSPO)
