About us

LGT Bank Österreich, a branch of LGT Bank AG, is the largest international private bank in Austria. We offer comprehensive private banking services and employ around 250 people in Austria. Our corporate culture is characterised by our unique ownership structure. We stand for entrepreneurial thinking, sustainability, a sense of responsibility and trust. Mutual respect, personal integrity and loyalty are the solid foundation of our work culture. At the beginning of 2024, we were recognised as one of the 50 best employers in Austria by the consulting firm "Great Place to Work". In the Medium category (100-249 employees), we improved to 4th place and even achieved 1st place among financial institutions.

Your challenge

  • Independent planning, preparation, and execution of audits across all business areas in compliance with international audit standards (Global Internal Audit Standards) and internal process guidelines.
  • Identification and assessment of risks, along with the derivation of practical recommendations to ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and to optimize the internal control system.
  • Ensuring comprehensive and traceable documentation of all audit processes, relevant findings, and developed recommendations.
  • Preparation of meaningful audit reports and independent discussion/coordination of results with the responsible departments and, if applicable, senior management.
  • Monitoring and management of the follow-up process.
  • Active participation in the continuous development and optimization of audit processes, as well as in the implementation of best-practice solutions.
  • Establishment, maintenance, and targeted development of trustworthy and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Completed studies in economics, law, or a comparable qualification; professional certification is an advantage
  • Several years (at least 7) of professional experience in the banking sector (internal audit), preferably with experience in private banking
  • Excellent knowledge of Austrian and international banking regulations; solid expertise in anti-money laundering (AML) prevention
  • Strong analytical thinking and high problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with audit software Audimex is a plus
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Communicative personality with strong social skills
  • Independent, structured, and responsible working style

In return, you can expect an interesting role, attractive social benefits, and – based on the minimum requirements mentioned above – a gross annual salary starting at EUR 66,000.00, with the possibility of overpayment depending on qualifications.
