At the WealthBriefing Wealth for Good Awards 2025 held yesterday in London, LGT took first place in three categories: Innovation in Sustainability, NextGen Support and Philanthropy Service Offering.
Now in their fourth year, the Wealth for Good Awards, hosted by the internationally renowned financial publication WealthBriefing, recognise excellence and innovation in the global wealth management industry. LGT impressed the jury once again this year with its holistic offering and proven expertise, and was recognised as the global leader in the categories Innovation in Sustainability, NextGen Support and Philanthropy Service Offering.
"Sustainable investing is a top priority for LGT. Our senior management and our owner, the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, are deeply committed to continuous innovation. We are convinced this benefits our clients as well as the environment and society", says Christopher Greenwald, Head of Sustainable Investing Europe at LGT. The WealthBriefing jury praised this approach, stating: "LGT stood out for its pioneering commitment to sustainable investing, innovative low-carbon solutions and cutting-edge proprietary ESG tools. The bank is setting new standards in portfolio decarbonisation."
LGT’s commitment to the next generation of clients was also recognised. "Thanks to LGT’s expertise and comprehensive support, young clients learn how to navigate wealth responsibly", the jury stated. It described LGT’s forward-looking strategy of empowering young people and preparing them for their role as future wealth holders through innovative, global programmes as "visionary". Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking: "Over the next decade, we will see trillions of dollars change hands worldwide. We believe that this period of transition is a pivotal moment for our industry. Ensuring we provide the new generation with comprehensive, expert support on this challenging journey is very important to us."
LGT was also designated the best private bank in the Philanthropy Service Offering category. "LGT is a pioneer in strategic philanthropy and has established itself globally as a highly trusted partner to wealthy philanthropists", the jury wrote in its report. Silvia Bastante, Head of LGT Philanthropy Advisory, is delighted about the award. "We provide clients with comprehensive advice on bringing their philanthropic strategy to life, from shaping and implementing their vision to scaling their impact", she says. "We support both seasoned philanthropists as well as those who are just starting their philanthropic journey. The fact that the WealthBriefing jury has recognised our commitment is a wonderful endorsement for us."
