More than 1500 concertgoers in Switzerland and Germany experienced the LGT Young Soloists live this November – a tour full of energy, variety and standout moments.
Classical music lovers had something to look forward to this autumn. In November, the LGT Young Soloists toured seven cities in Switzerland and Germany, performing at leading and distinctive venues in both countries. From the innovative BERGSON in Munich to Kleine Tonhalle Zurich, Stadtcasino Basel and Villa Principe Leopoldo in Lugano, each concert combined unique settings with musical highlights.
Conducted by Alexander Gilman, the young musicians performed a varied programme, once again impressing audiences with their technical skill and enthusiasm. A particular highlight this year was the harp, which added a new dimension to the orchestra's sound. The orchestra also received much acclaim for several pieces written exclusively for them by renowned figures from the music scene, including 'Dolomites, pale mountains', a composition by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman.
LGT has supported the LGT Young Soloists as main partner since the ensemble's founding in 2013. In 2024, this partnership was extended for another six years. For LGT, this commitment reflects LGT’s long-term approach rooted in responsibility and excellence. The promotion of art and music is a long-standing tradition at LGT and within the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart both composed works commissioned by the House of Liechtenstein. This tradition of patronage has carried on into the present day with the LGT Young Soloists.
