Accessibility statement

Date: 17 November 2025

LGT is endeavouring to make its website accessible in accordance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, as well as national laws on the implementation of the Directive.

This accessibility statement applies to the following legal entities and websites:
LGT Bank AG, Zweigniederlassung Deutschland and its website www.lgt.com/de-de

Accessibility requirements

Everyone should be able to use products and services without restrictions, for example via digital channels such as the website. This is referred to as "accessible use". The regulations for this are laid down in an act of law. In Germany, this Act is known as the the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSG). We aim to ensure that all our products and services which fall within the scope of the Act are accessible.

Below you will find information about the services we offer. The language used in this information is not above level B2 (upper intermediate) of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe.

New requirements and improved standards for accessibility are constantly being introduced. For this reason, we regularly check our website for any problems or areas for improvement. We base these checks on the specifications of EN 301 549 (the European standard concerning accessibility requirements for ICT products and services) and the web standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These standards are also known as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines or WCAG.

Specific requirements concerning the accessibility of our website and examples of implementation measures

1. The information is made available via more than one sensory channel

Measures:

  • Essential visual content is also described using alternative text (alt text)
  • Auditory content (e.g. podcasts, videos) has subtitles and transcripts
  • Interactive elements such as buttons have descriptive labels and roles (ARIA labels)

2. The information is presented in an understandable way

Measures:

  • The text is written in clear language
  • The content is organised logically with headings, lists and structured paragraphs

  • No content is conveyed solely by colour, sound or movement
  • The content can be enlarged by up to 200% with no loss of information

4. The information content is made available in text formats that can be used for generating alternative assistive formats which can be presented by users in different ways and perceived via more than one sensory channel

  • PDF documents are accessible (e.g. tagged PDFs with the correct reading sequence)
  • Text content is not conveyed only in image format (no text in images)

5. The information is presented in fonts of adequate size and suitable shape, taking into account foreseeable conditions of use, and using sufficient contrast, as well as adjustable spacing between letters, lines and paragraphs

Measures:

  • The standard font size is at least 16px and for continuous text at least 1em
  • Users can adjust the line, character and paragraph spacing to suit their individual requirements
  • Contrasts are at least WCAG AA 2.1, i.e. 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text

Measures:

  • Navigation elements and buttons are named and positioned consistently
  • The website has “skip to content” functionality for screen reader users
  • The content and functions are correctly displayed in all common browsers and on mobile devices

State of compliance with requirements

LGT’s aim is to make the website accessible to all. In particular, this includes accessible use and navigation using a keyboard, as well as the use of screen readers and other technologies.

There are always new requirements and improved standards for accessibility. For this reason, we regularly check our website for any obstacles or ways to improve. In doing so, we refer to the specifications laid out in the agreement on web standards by the "World Wide Web Consortium" (abbreviated to W3C). These specifications include "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" or WCAG.

We are working on making our web pages and content accessible, and in essential areas this is already the case. However, there are some areas where we still have to improve accessibility. In future, we will design new content for our website in a way that all people can take advantage of it.

Due to the following incompatibilities or exceptions, our websites are partially reconcilable with WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA and/or the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The incompatibilities and exceptions are listed below.

Inaccessible content

PDF files

We place great importance on the accessibility of our PDF documents. While older files on this website may not yet be fully accessible, we ensure that newly published PDF documents comply with legal accessibility requirements.

If you have difficulty accessing content in PDF format, please contact us. We will be happy to provide the relevant information in a more accessible format.

Videos

Some videos on our website do not currently have subtitles or transcripts. We are working on providing subtitles for all relevant content.

SmartBanking Help

LGT offers additional digital applications with help pages accessible via separate microsites. These pages are currently only partially accessible. As part of the ongoing development of our digital applications, in particular SmartBanking, the relevant help pages will be gradually updated and made fully accessible in the future.
