At the fifteenth annual Global Private Banking Awards, the Financial Times publications Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and The Banker once again recognised excellence among the world’s best private banks. LGT was designated Best Private Bank for Alternatives for the fifth time. "Our owner, the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, invested a portion of their own assets in private equity, private debt and other private market investments at a very early stage," says Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking. "As a result, we have many years of experience in this area and are continuously deepening our knowledge and expanding our offering. We are delighted that in addition to being valued by our clients, our expertise in this segment is also recognised by independent and internationally renowned judges."

The 15-member panel of independent judges consisting of industry experts from Europe, Asia and North America was particularly impressed by LGT’s family-led, distinctive culture. "Over the last several decades, LGT has developed into a global company with a growing presence in Asia, while at the same time maintaining a highly accessible structure for clients looking for alternative investment solutions",  explains Yuri Bender, one of the judges and the Editor-in-Chief of PWM. "The judges also appreciated LGT’s methodical approach to sustainability", he says.

A positive impact for society and the environment

LGT’s expertise and innovative solutions in the area of philanthropy also impressed the judges of the Global Private Banking Awards. For the second consecutive year, they designated LGT Best Private Bank in Europe for Philanthropy Services. In October, LGT also received the Outstanding Philanthropy Offering award at the Private Banker International Global Wealth Awards 2023. Nina Hoas, Head of LGT Philanthropy Advisory, says: "It is very important to us to not only to do good through our philanthropic activities, but to achieve the greatest possible impact using the funds available to us, our expertise and our network. We have been pursuing this approach for many years and it is something we believe deeply in. We are therefore also helping a growing number of clients around the world to optimise their philanthropic activities, and have a concrete positive impact on society and the environment."

LGT also recently received an award from the renowned financial magazine Global Finance. At the World’s Best Private Bank Awards, LGT was designated the best private bank in Liechtenstein.
