LGT reports higher profits and strong net asset inflows for the first half of 2022

LGT achieved a group profit of CHF 217.2 million in the first half of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 20%. In a market environment characterized by uncertainties, LGT generated very solid revenues and further invested in the expansion of its business, digitalization, and sustainable investment solutions. Assets under management remained stable at CHF 284.7 billion at the end of June 2022, reflecting strong net asset inflows of CHF 6.2 billion and asset growth of CHF 15.6 billion from the acquisition of Crestone Wealth Management.

LGT presses ahead with commitment to sustainability and joins three global initiatives

LGT Private Banking recently signed the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) initiative and has become a member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC). Further to its own sustainability initiatives encompassing investments, advisory services and operations, LGT aims to use these memberships to advance the topic of sustainability with competitors and international organizations.

LGT to create Region EMEA

LGT Private Banking today announced that it will introduce a new EMEA-wide governance structure for its activities in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and the Middle East, reflecting the company’s growth in recent years. Region EMEA will be led by Roland Matt, who will also remain CEO of LGT Bank Liechtenstein.

LGT places increased focus on stewardship in sustainable investing

LGT has signed a service agreement with BMO Global Asset Management (BMO GAM) for stewardship to support its sustainable investing strategy. BMO GAM will engage on behalf of LGT with listed companies in which it is invested in order to actively address sustainability issues. LGT is one of the first private banks in Europe to implement this collaborative approach to corporate engagement.
