Sustainable investing take into account not only financial aspects, but also so-called ESG criteria - factors relating to the environment, society and good corporate or state governance. The aim of sustainable investments is to generate an attractive return while making a positive contribution to society and the environment. If sustainable investing is important to you, we have a number of options that cater to your needs.

If you would prefer to leave all investment decisions to us, we offer a selection of solutions to meet your personal sustainability goals. Our sustainability mandates take substantial sustainability aspects into account when making investment decisions. For example, we prioritize assets that contribute to environmental and social advancement, or that have lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to the benchmarks.

If you would prefer to make your own investment decisions, we can advise you based on your sustainability preferences. Our sustainable investment advisory services place particular emphasis on thematic investments that enable you to take advantage of targeted opportunities in six key areas including climate protection and the circular economy.

When implementing your sustainable investment solutions, we carefully select investment funds as well as direct investments in equities and bonds. These include the sustainable equity and bond investment funds of our partner company LGT Capital Partners, in addition to a wide range of sustainable funds and ETFs from third-party providers.

Exclusions

For all our investments, we avoid companies that manufacture controversial arms and weapons, extract coal or generate power from coal. The criteria we apply to our sustainable investment solutions are even more stringent. For example, we do not invest in companies that cause environmental damage or that are regarded as corrupt.

ESG integration

In addition to financial factors, we systematically incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into our investment process. This means we assess how sustainably a company operates, and only invest in stocks and bonds if it conducts business in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. This assessment encompasses factors such as CO2 emissions, health and safety standards, and the integration of sustainability goals into the corporate strategy. Government bonds are also screened according to ESG criteria.
