About the Role
Design, build, and operate production-grade GenAI applications end-to-end.
Develop robust RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-based solutions
Integrate GenAI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and internal data sources.
Apply strong prompt engineering and model orchestration to build reliable AI systems.
Drive solution architecture, technical decisions, and engineering standards to scale AI engineering across LGT.
Write high-quality, well-tested code and apply modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, version control, automated testing).
Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into GenAI solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Contribute to shared platform components, evaluation, and LLMOps practices, and share knowledge to grow GenAI engineering capability in the team.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years professional software engineering experience with a strong production track record, incl. 3+ years in agile teams
Strong programming skills in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, clean code).
Hands-on experience building GenAI / LLM applications, including RAG, using modern frameworks and APIs (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI API) and vector databases.
Experience designing and building APIs and backend services (e.g. FastAPI), plus solid DevOps skills: CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, containerization, and deployment automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
Fluency in English is required
Nice‑to‑Have
Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Experience with LLMOps and evaluation frameworks for GenAI applications, and familiarity with MCP and frameworks such as FastMCP.
Experience with observability and monitoring of production systems, and with async or event‑driven architectures (e.g. Kafka).
German language skills are an advantage
